This site is for fans of Ice Hockey in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. Our goal is to gather support to bring professional hockey back to the Roanoke Valley.

If you love hockey you need to be a part of our group. We are promoting the growth of hockey all over our region for all age groups and skill levels. We are seeking to gather support not just from fans but people all over our community. Also check the news page often for updates.
What Can We Do To Bring Hockey Back?
- People forget the great attendance the Roanoke Express had. From the 93-94 season through the 99-00 season the Express had excellent attendance.

We had great attendance once and it can be done again. We need stable ownership. We need a good team on the ice. And we need a good marketing plan from someone that understands the area we live in. If you want hockey to return to the Roanoke Valley what you can do is very simple. Contact the people below using the information I will give you. Tell them you want hockey back. Tell them what it means to you. This will be hard but not impossible. But we need everybody to help. Write a letter or send an email make a phone call or send a fax. Take some kind of action if you love hockey and want to see it back.

Guns & Hoses Hockey Jan. 23, 2010 @ 6pm Roanoke Civic Center
The Rusty Blades Ice Hockey Club is located in Southwest Virginia and plays its games at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, VA and at The LaHaye Ice Center in Lynchburg, VA. Membership is open to men and women age 45 and over. Skill level is not important. There is no age limit for goalies.
